Collective Worship

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart."  - Colossians 3:23

We believe that collective worship is an essential part of our school community and plays a significant role in shaping the values and character of our students. At our school, we embrace Christian values such as ambition, courage, and empathy, and we strive to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all.

Collective worship provides a special time for our school community to come together, fostering a sense of unity and reflection. It is an opportunity for students, staff, and families to celebrate, explore, and deepen their understanding of faith and spirituality. Through collective worship, we aim to inspire our students to develop their own moral compass, to explore their beliefs, and to learn from the wisdom found in different religious and cultural traditions.

The Christian values of ambition, courage, and empathy form the foundation of our collective worship. We encourage our students to set high aspirations and work towards achieving their goals with determination and perseverance. Whether it's in their academic pursuits, personal growth, or relationships with others, we believe that ambition enables our students to reach their full potential.

Courage is another value we emphasize during our collective worship. We teach our students to be courageous in facing challenges, standing up for what is right, and making a positive impact in the world. By instilling a sense of bravery, we empower our students to overcome obstacles, take risks, and develop resilience in all aspects of their lives.

Empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, is an essential Christian value that we promote through collective worship. We encourage our students to develop a genuine concern for others and to demonstrate kindness and compassion in their daily interactions. By fostering empathy, we hope to create a supportive and inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and understood.

The Christian underpinning of "whatever you do, work at it with your heart" is deeply embedded in our approach to collective worship. We encourage our students to engage wholeheartedly in their learning, relationships, and personal growth. By emphasizing the importance of passion, dedication, and integrity, we strive to instill a strong work ethic and a sense of purpose in everything our students do.

Through collective worship, we aim to nurture the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of our students. We provide a variety of engaging and meaningful worship experiences, including assemblies, reflective activities, and opportunities for prayer and contemplation. Our collective worship is inclusive and respects the diversity of religious and non-religious beliefs within our school community.

We believe that collective worship is a vital part of our school's ethos and contributes to the holistic development of our students. It helps to shape their character, build a sense of community, and promote values that will guide them throughout their lives. We warmly invite students, staff, parents, and members of the wider community to join us in our collective worship journey.
